Life lessons. Ah, life lessons are not always easy. Over the years we have bought and sold hoses. These were horses we cared about but just didn't meet the purpose we were needing at the time anymore. We tried to sell them to loving homes and hoped for the best. You have to understand that once you sell a horse, or anything else, they are no longer yours to have any say about them. I think Olivia is learning a life lesson now. It's not easy but you have to accept it and realize you have done your best for that horse. We owned a super little mare who injured her hip. I really don't know how she did it. I had her evaluated by three vets as well. The bottom line was her career was over. She was meant for light riding. Of course the more you worked her the worse the hip would get. She does drag her one hind leg because of her hip. The mare has been re-homed again. So, you just say a prayer and hope she finds the right home. It's the way things work in life. A hard lesson for young people to sometimes learn. Best of luck to Val on finding that right new home.
